HA NOI (biz Hub)— Phu Bai Airport in central Thua Thien-Hue Province will resume operations on September 20, two months ahead of schedule, after six months' closure for a runway upgrade.
Civil Aviation Administration deputy head Dinh Viet Thang said the work was completed early because contractors had increased the length and number of shifts.
Contractors would finish asphalting the runway by August, and installing lights and control equipment in early September. The official reopening day is scheduled for September 20.
