Petrol prices rise in latest adjustment

Retail petrol prices rose on Thursday following the latest review by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The price of E5 RON92 biofuel increased by VND609 to a maximum of VND14,494 (US$0.63) per litre, and RON95-III by VND650 to no more than VND15,351 per litre.

Diesel 0.05S and kerosene, meanwhile, are now on sale for no more than VND11,434 and VND10,138 per litre, up VND596 and VND576 per litre, respectively.

The price of Mazut 180CST 3.5S is now no more than VND11,742 per kg, an increase of VND651.

According to the two ministries, the prices of petrol and oil in the global market had been rising strongly for 15 days, hence the adjustment.

The ministries review fuel prices every 15 days to ensure domestic prices are in keeping with the global market. — VNS
