NovaGroup in collaboration with DEG Impulse, a subsidiary of DEG, the German Development Finance Institution, announced a project titled “Teaching English and Informatics for free for primary school students” in Binh Thuan and Dong Thap provinces on September 26.
The project will donate English and Informatics lessons to 1,000 students in Tien Thanh 1 and Tien Thanh 2 primary schools (Tien Thanh Commune, Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan) and Long Khanh A3 (Hong Ngu District, Dong Thap).
On the occasion of the start of a new school year, NovaGroup also gifted Te rice cakes, sausages and canned foods made by Nova Consumer Group to students in the two schools.

Through the project, NovaGroup and DEG Impulseexpect to establish a high-quality and integrated education environment for poor and underprivileged children, giving them the opportunity to get quality education, thus promoting economic, cultural and social development.
The project will cost nearly 400,000 euros (US$388,000) and be implemented over two school years (2022-23 and 2023-24).
Schools selected for the project have difficulty teaching English andInformatics while their students have not had a chance to access international-standard curriculums.
In addition to improving facilities and teaching equipment, the project will also enhance the quality of teaching.
The first lessons begin on October 3.
Nova Education will manage the overall education part while Nova College will take care of the teaching.
Nova Education has experience in building an advanced and comprehensive education environment. It focuses on training Vietnamese children to be confident about their knowledge besides providing them with skills that will help them easily integrate with the world and sharpen their global competitiveness.
Students are excited in their first time experiencing a fully equipped Informatics classroom.
Nova Education will be responsible for assessing the teaching quality and contents of the English and Informatics training programmes, and supervising the construction of facilities and installation of equipment, all of high quality.
Students will learn Cambridge English: Young Learners (YLE) and the Internet and Computing Core Certification Spark (IC3 Spark).
There will also be foreign teachers to enhance student interaction and communication quality and effectiveness in the language class.
In the context that the fourth industrial revolution has had a strong impact on all areas, the project is expected to bring a change in teaching and learning methods in localities which are facing difficulties and have poor educational facilities.
The English classroom is also equipped with projectors to make learning enjoyable and keep students interested in lessons.
The free, quality courses will help the children enrich their knowledge, sharpen their skills, improve their confidence and willingness and make them proactive in integrating globally.
Local teachers’ capacity will be enhanced since they have a chance access international quality teaching methods.
The ‘“Teaching English and Informatics for free for primary school students” project is an evidence of NovaGroup’s commitment to support national education.
It is also one of its four focuses to improve the quality of education and create a sustainable education environment, and encourage the younger generations to study.

These will play a role in boosting the teaching and learning quality in schools.
The collaboration between NovaGroup and DEG Impulse confirms their commitment to social responsibility, and will help improve the quality of life in Viet Nam.
Furthermore, the joint implementation of a social project will strengthen the partnership between NovaGroup and DEG Impulse and promote other activities through a long-term cooperation.
It is expected that the Free International Standard English and Informatics Programme for Primary School Students project will be maintained for a long time in current localities and expanded to others in the near future.

In the coming time NovaGroup will build and run the Viet Nam Future School, a network of free schools meant for students in difficult circumstances.
The first school will be built in Tien Thanh Commune, Phan Thiet City, where the NovaWorld Phan Thiet project is under construction on a scale of 1,000ha.
Later the company plans to build more in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai and some other provinces.
