THAI NGUYEN (Biz Hub)— The country's largest poly-metallic mine in the northern province of Thai Nguyen is set to roll out its first products, deputy director-general of Nui Phao Mining Company Limited Vu Hong said.

Hong said construction on Nui Phao poly-metallic mine in Thai Nguyen's Dai Tu District had been completed, three years after the project was started.

The mine, which has a total investment of US$500 million, will produce around 3.5 million tonnes of ores including tungsten, fluorspar, bismuth, copper and gold a year, 80 per cent of which will be exported.

Hong said the tungsten processing factory at the mine would use the latest technology.

More than 600 households were relocated to make way for the mine, which is expected to create stable jobs for more than 1,000 local workers.— VNS
