HCM CITY (VNS) – Downtown commercial housing projects may not be converted for other purposes or split into smaller sizes, according to a proposal by the Construction Department.
However, projects for which infrastructure had already been completed would be considered for conversion into social housing to be sold for a maximum VND12 million ($572) per square metre.
By 2015, it was expected that 20 social housing projects of 21,000 apartments.would be released on to the market. – VNS
