The 2022 Impact Entrepreneurship Bootcamp competition has identified five outstanding start-up ideas out of more than 55 entries submitted by 300 young entrepreneurs and students from Viet Nam and around the world.
They include LEAN Platform (an app that motivates students to study through exciting rewards, development experiences and community learning), UniOne (an AI technology-based solution that helps content creators minimise copyright infringement risks), WeShare (a donation platform through customers’ online shopping orders with no extra cost), Com Nha Nha (a food ordering app that offers housewives an opportunity to earn an extra income), and Naco ( a technology solution that assists businesses in customer care, helping them handle customer dissatisfaction due to incorrect information).
Contestants went through a three-month journey to come up with and develop ideas to solve four big challenges that most businesses face: innovation, customer engagement, operation efficiency, and IT modernisation/migration.
They also took part in intensive support activities such as training under experts, one on one mentoring, and accessing businesses, investors and investment funds, said Linh Hoang, CEO of Lead The Change, the competition’s organiser.
More than 50 industry experts mentored the contestants, she said.
This year the competition has jewellery retailer PNJ as a co-organiser and mentor, and it plays “an important role in providing real-life business challenges, industry insights and the resources to support young startups develop their innovative solutions,” she added.
The top five will participate in a special incubation programme and receive cash support and training in Singapore for three months before presenting their projects to identify the winning team.
At stake are cash prizes worth VND500 million (US$21,075) and other awards. — VNS
