HCM CITY (Biz Hub) —Tan Cang Hiep Phuoc Port has opened at the Hiep Phuoc Industrial Zone in HCM City and the first vessel docked there on Monday.
Tran Hoai Nam, director of the Tan Cang Hiep Phuoc Joint Stock Company – the port operator -- said the 300m pier at the port can handle ships of up to 50,000DWT using modern equipment.
The new port is expected to ease the pressure on other ports in the city like Cat Lai.
It will also contribute to developing logistics and shipping services in HCM City and the southern region. — VNS
