Ha Noi Venice wins award

HANOI (Biz Hub) -- Vincom Village, described as a "Venice in the heart of Hanoi", has won the highest category for Best Mixed-used Development in the Asia Pacific in the International Property Awards held in Malaysia this month. The development is in Long Bien District.

According to Le Thi Thu Thuy, vice chairman and CEO of Vingroup, it was the first prestige Vietnamese project to win so far.

This award is for real-estate projects that meet strict criteria for location, good transport, architecture, planning and uniqueness, safety, security, sustainability, innovative technology, environmental protection and provision of services.

This year, 641 nominations were received from 23 countries. The winners in each category will compete with winning candidates in Europe, Africa and America.

Vincom Village has won other awards, including "Green Architecture 2012" given by the Vietnam Architecture Association and the National Architecture Prize 2012; and "Best Villa Project" Award from South-east Real Estate Asia. --VNS
