HA NOI (Biz Hub) —The Ha Noi Taxation Department revealed on Tuesday a list of 76 companies in the capital city with tax debts over VND1.8 trillion (US$85.7 million).

Song Da-Thang Long Joint Stock Company topped the list with tax debts of nearly VND283 billion ($13.4 million), followed by Vinashin Group with VND105 billion($5 million), Cienco 1 Bridge Company with VND81 billion ($3.85 million), Viglacera Ha Noi Company with VND70 billion ($3.3 million) and Cavico Joint Stock Company with VND68 billion($3.23 million).

The department said it would try to collect these debts in the last three months of this year while also addressing the problems of individual debtors.

The department will work closely with the media to publicise individuals and organisations who try to ignore their debt payment responsibilities.—VNS
