HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Minister of Tourism of Cambodia, Thong Khon, has called for Vietnamese investors to invest more into the tourism sector in Cambodia to boost trade relation between two nations.

Speaking at a recent trade promotion conference in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh, Thong Khon said that tourism investments accounted for 30 per cent of all investments in Cambodia last year. More support from Vietnamese investors would help better take advantage opportunities in the tourism sector, he said.

Attending the conference, HCM City People's Committee vice chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hong said Viet Nam was currently Cambodia's third largest trade partner. Viet Nam has 128 investment projects in Cambodia, with total capital investment of over $3 billion. — VNS
