HA NOI (Biz Hub) —National carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) has begun flying the new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on the route between Viet Nam and Germany, according to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Germany.
The Dreamliner, the latest version of Boeing 787, was introduced at Frankfurt Airport on October 26 in the presence of Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Doan Xuan Hung.
The new aircraft is part of the VNA's plan to focus on the latest aircrafts and provide unmatched fuel efficiency, resulting in exceptional environment-friendly performance. This category of aircraft uses 20 to 30 per cent less fuel and has 20 to 30 per cent fewer emissions than the airplanes they replace.
The Dreamliner will also provide passengers with Wi-Fi service.
Vietnam Airlines has become the first airline in Asia to have received the new version Boeing 787-9 and Airbus A350-900 XWB, marking its vigorous change as well as enhancing competitiveness and position in the domestic and international markets. — VNS
