The Airport Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) will co-operate with Incheon International Airport to promote a network of air routes between Viet Nam and South Korea.
Under a memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides in Seoul on Friday, ACV and Incheon Airport will share experience on exploiting and operating aviation services in the future.
A report from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism showed that Viet Nam received about 3.5 million South Korean visitors in 2018, up two million compared with 2016. In January this year, South Korea has exceeded China to have the highest number of visitors to Viet Nam.
Incheon Airport is part of the ACV’s plan to develop aviation services globally. The corporation has signed deals with many aviation developers around the world including Laos Airports Authority, Airports Corporation of Thailand, Japan’s Narita International Airport Corporation, Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG of Germany, and Chubu Centrair International Airport.
The agreements aim to promote the opening of international routes among airports, expanding business, sharing experience, exchanging staff and supporting each other in training. — VNS
