HA NOI – On the HCM City Stock Exchange, the benchmark VN-Index fell 0.05 per cent to reach 553.65 points.

Meanwhile, the VN30 Index, tracking the city's top 30 stocks, added 0.08 per cent to end at 609.81 points, thanks to the gains made by 13 blue chips, especially Masan (MSN), PetroVietnam Transportation (PVT) and Da Nang Rubber (DRC), as well as Phu My Fertiliser (DPM) and logistic company Gemadept (GMD).

Meanwhile, nine other large-cap stocks lost value.

The total value and volume of trading hit VND798.1 billion (US$37.5 million) and more than 44.6 million shares respectively.

The Ha Noi Stock Exchange closed higher, with the HNX-Index gaining 0.55 per cent to end at 85.02 points.

The HNX30 Index, comprising the bourse's 30 leading large-cap stocks, jumped 0.56 per cent, reaching 168.93 points.

The trading value stood at VND763.45 billion ($35.8 million), as investors exchanged more than 43 million shares. – VNS
