The 16th International Exhibition on Automobile, Transportation and Supporting Industries (Vietnam AutoExpo 2019) will be held at the Vietnam National Convention Centre in Ha Noi from June 12 to 15.

According to the organising board, 2018 saw Viet Nam’s economy achieve the highest growth rate in the past ten years. It is likely to reach 7 per cent growth in 2019. These are favourable signals for the automobile market, especially the commercial vehicle sector to develop.

According to data from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), in 2018, sales of member enterprises reached nearly 288,700 vehicles of all kinds, 6 per cent higher than in the previous year. Sales of locally assembled cars increased by 11 per cent, while imported car sales decreased by more than 6 per cent.

Car assembling and trading firms are making investments in order to meet demand for vehicles and develop the economy.

Viet Nam’s support industry has set the goal of having highly competitive products by 2020 that meet 45 per cent of domestic production and consumption needs. To meet this goal, the industry requires help in the form of incentives and policies from the Government.

In this context, Vietnam AutoExpo will be a favourable environment for automobile, motorbike and support enterprises to launch new products, approach customers and partners, and promote technology and product development.

This year, Vietnam AutoExpo will once again have the participation of domestic and foreign automobile brands such as Veam Motors, Gaz Group, KC Motors, Daewoo, Faw, Dongfeng and Hyundai; motorbike manufacturers such as Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Triumph and Royal Enfield; and many brands in supporting industries such as Dunlop, Elig, Timsun, Vietmap, Bosch, Philips, CNC Hanoi, HJC and Daichi.

Vietnam AutoExpo 2019 expects to attract 35,000 visitors, reinforcing its role as one of the most important annual events in the automobile and motorbike market. — VNS
