Paper expo expected to boost quality in VN

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — A pulp and paper exhibition scheduled to be held in HCM City next May is expected to help improve product quality in the country by enabling local manufacturers to find partners.

Nguyen Ba Vinh, director of Minh Vy Exhibition and Advertising Services Company (VEAS), the event organiser, expects at least 100 domestic and foreign companies to participate in the three-day event, bringing advanced technologies, machinery, and chemicals for use in the industry besides pulp and paper products.

Vu Ngoc Bao, vice chairman of the Vietnam Pulp and Paper Association, said the country's consumption of paper products this year was around 3 million tonnes, of which almost half imported.

VEAS will also organise two other exhibitions, of rubber and tyres and coatings, alongside in co-operation with partners in Viet Nam, China, and India.

They will be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Phu My Hung from May 14 to 16. — VNS
