HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Electric and Power Vietnam 2014 will take place at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC) in HCM City from September 17 to 19.

It would be the fifth time that the premier exhibition for the electrical and power sector is held in Viet Nam.

The 5th International Electrical Power, Transmission and Distribution Technology Exhibition and Conference seeks to position itself as a technology marketplace for Viet Nam in support of growing grid and power infrastructure needs.

A total of 104 international companies will be participating in this year's event, showcasing diverse power engineering technologies and products from Germany, Denmark, US, Korea, Turkey and Taiwan. Key exhibitors include ABB, AKSA power and a Korean Group from the Korea Electrical Manufacturers' Cooperative (KEMC).

In conjunction with the event, there will be two conferences for leaders of the electrical and power industry. The first one will be organised by VinaLab on ISO50001 Energy Audit requirements, while the second will be jointly held by the Instrument and Control Society of Singapore (ICS) and Total Asset Management Systems Malaysia (TAMS), concentrating on new power plant technologies and operational excellence case studies.

The biennial show was first launched in HCM City in 2006 and has since grown to become one of the most comprehensive power and electrical solutions trade event. It is organised by Hong Kong Exhibition Services Ltd and marketed worldwide by International Expo Management Singapore; Overseas Exhibition Services Ltd, UK; SES Allworld Representative in Viet Nam; and the local partner, the Vietnam Chamber for Commerce and Industry's Exhibition Service. — VNS
