The second Viet Nam International Aviation Expo will be held from September 15 to 17 at the National Convention Centre in Ha Noi after being delayed by more than two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the theme ‘Sustainable development for a bright future,’ it will showcase a variety of advanced aviation equipment, technologies, and modern aircraft from many countries.
Luong Thi Xuan, founder and CEO of the Viet Nam Aviation Expo JSC, and head of the organising committee, said the expo aims to promote trade and technical land services between the Vietnamese and global aviation industries, and create a bridge to bring global achievements in aviation science and technology to Viet Nam and vice versa.
The expo will also include conferences and seminars on key topics such as the aviation market outlook post COVID-19, best practices for keeping passengers moving, airport operations, needs for the next generation of aircraft, aerospace employee demand for the next 20 years, and other topics, giving the aviation industry a precious chance to learn about various aviation trends and latest technologies.
Nguyen Huu Nam, deputy director of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s HCM City branch, said: “The global aviation industry is forecast to grow by 47 per cent in 2022 as COVID-19 restrictions are gradually eased or removed.
“The Viet Nam aviation market has gradually recovered since the end of 2021.”
Airlines have resumed all domestic services, and international flights have also restarted, he said.
The first expo was held in HCM City in 2019 with the participation of more than 50 domestic and foreign aviation enterprises. — VNS
