The International Exhibition on Industrial Machinery, Equipment, Technology and Products in HCM City, or VINAMAC Expo 2023, will be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre from November 15-17.

VINAMAC Expo 2023 will have nearly 1,000 booths set up by 750 Vietnamese companies and foreign firms from 15 countries and territories, including India, Germany, Taiwan, the US, South Korea, Japan, Russia, Malaysia, China and the Czech Republic.

The expo will feature a range of industrial machinery and equipment, control and automation technology, welding and cutting technology, cast iron, steel, metallurgy, metal engineering technology, adhesives and tapes, paints and coatings, and products involved in the plastic, rubber and chemical industries.

Speaking at a press briefing to introduce the expo in HCM City late last week, Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngọc, deputy director of the HCM City Department of Industry and Trade, said one of the highlights of the expo is the department’s ‘Common house’ where products awarded with the HCM City Gold Brand as well as the city’s exemplary industrial products will be showcased.

The department’s policies and programmes on supporting business development between now to 2030 will be introduced at the ‘Common house’ to help the business community and domestic and international industry associations develop future cooperation and investment, she said.

The exhibition will also include seminars, business forums, business matching, introduction of new technologies and products, performances of robots and automation technology, and trips for foreign businesses to visit industrial parks and factories in Hà Nội, HCM City, Bình Dương, Bắc Ninh and other localities.

In addition, the HCM City Automation Festival and a welding contest will also be held during the framework of the event.

Ngọc said the exhibition is expected to provide an ideal venue in which both local and foreign businesses can strengthen connectivity, introduce their latest machinery and equipment, and grasp the market’s needs, thereby maximising efficiency and business opportunities.

The event will be organised by Vietnam Advertisement and Fair Exhibition JSC (Vietfair) and the department’s HCM City Centre for Supporting Enterprise Development, with the support of several business associations. — VNS
