WinWay Travel Corporation and RMIT University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to reinforce their collaboration in education and training.
Accordingly, WinWay and RMIT will establish a strategic partnership towards the goal of training high-quality human resources and organising internships, work-integrated-learning activities, business simulation programmes and entrepreneurship projects for both domestic and international students.
To realise the agreement, WinWay and RMIT will regularly hold seminars and meetings, and deploy specific co-operation projects.
Both parties will also explore the possibility of collaborating in high-quality services for Vietnamese and international RMIT students.
RMIT Dean of School of Business & Management Professor Mathews Nkhoma said that a number of RMIT students had been working as interns at WinWay and gained practical experience in the field of tourism, marketing, media and events thanks to the company’s expertise in event organisation and travel services for both Vietnamese and international clients.
“We look forward to collaborating on case studies, guest talks, workshops and industry insight sharing between our academic team and WinWay,” Professor Nkhoma said.
Winway CEO Nguyen Khanh Linh stated that: “RMIT students are dynamic, creative and eager to learn. We are delighted to give them the opportunity to develop their foreign language skills and accumulate knowledge to apply in full-time positions upon graduation.”
“At the same time, WinWay has the chance to supplement our future talent pool with confident, ethical and skilled young professionals from RMIT.”
The agreement between RMIT and WinWay is expected to contribute to diversifying industry-education partnerships in line with global trends. VNS
