Co-working space provider WeWork is expanding in Viet Nam by opening two more offices in HCM City.

One opened at Sonatus in Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, in November and the other is expected to open at Lim Tower 3 next February.

WeWork has developed a strong presence in Southeast Asia since opening its first location in Singapore in 2017.

It now has footprints in Viet Nam, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.

HCM City has rapidly become a major business hub in Southeast Asia, creating strong demand for WeWork’s collaborative spaces.

Building on its momentum from the first location, WeWork E.Town Central in District 4, that was announced last March, the company has welcomed a diverse range of clients ranging from large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to startups and freelancers.

Viet Nam’s young population and rapidly growing economy support a strong small business and start-up community and an entrepreneurial culture, which has led to high demand for collaborative co-working spaces.

Recent trade agreements including the CPTPP and EU-Viet Nam FTA have increased the country’s standing as a regional and global business centre.

The company said HCM City is becoming an increasingly popular hub for local, regional and global enterprises and start-ups seeking to accelerate their growth in Viet Nam’s vibrant economy, the greater ASEAN region and beyond.

As of the third quarter WeWork had 625 offices for lease in 33 countries. — VNS
