Visa has announced the appointment of Dang Tuyet Dung as Viet Nam and Laos country manager.

Dung, who has more than 20 years’ experience in corporate and retail banking, has held senior executive positions at multinational and major Vietnamese banks.

She joins Visa from Maritime Bank where she was deputy CEO and CEO of retail banking since 2014.

She said: “I am delighted to be joining Visa and leading our operations across Viet Nam and Laos. I am looking forward to working with our talented team to deepen partnerships with our clients across the region. By working together to grow the adoption of electronic payments, I know we’re going to be able to make a significant difference to the lives of consumers, businesses and the broader economy.”

Before Maritime Bank, she was at Techcombank and Citibank in Viet Nam in a variety of roles.

She replaces Sean Preston, who has relocated to the UK to take on a new role in Visa Europe. – VNS
