HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Vingroup recently launched a new retail model with specialised stores called VinDS, which sells healthcare, footwear, fashion and sports products in four different zones.

The first stores will open in Vincom Can Tho in the Mekong Delta in July, while the group plans to open 74 more stores over the next year and 300 nationwide over the next three years.

The group said the stores would offer international brands to Vietnamese consumers.

The chains will be built and operated by the VinDS Trading and Services Co., and will include BeautyZone, Sportsworld, ShoeCenter and Fashion Megastore.

The retail model is expected to bring luxury products to Vietnamese consumers and help Vietnamese brands reach local consumers, Munish Rishi, CEO of VinDS, said.

BeautyZone specialises in healthcare products, cosmetics, makeup and skin and bodycare products. It will sell mid to high-end brands such as Clarins, L'Occitane, Kose and Kanebo, as well as Laneige, Yves Rocher and Vichy, among others, besides the exclusive Dutch Mades brand.

ShoeCenter is set to become a major footwear chain in the country. Each store has an area of 600sq.m to 1,000sq.m and will sell shoes for men, women and children, from more than 25 international and local brands. VinDS has also designed shoes under the Top Toe brand.

With products of famous sports brands such as Nike, Adidas, Aero Sport and others, Sportsworld will provide clothing and shoes for jogging, tennis, basketball and other sports, as well as fitness machines and other accessories, with a separate area for football items.

VinDS has also launched Fashion Megastore, with each outlet spread over 2,500sq.m to 5,000sq.m. Successful and high-end fashion brands from around the world will be sold there, as well as local items.

The move affirms Vingroup's determination to develop and strengthen its retail sector, after opening other retail chains such as VinMart, VinMart + and Vinpro earlier. — VNS
