HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Deputy General Director of Vingroup Mai Huong Noi has become CEO of the e-commerce channel VinE-com.

Vingroup's H1 report announced the appointment of Noi, who has a BA in Economics and is also a member of the Board of Management (MoB).

Noi, 45, was CEO of Vingroup from March 2006 to June 2012. Then Vingroup appointed Le Thi Thu Thuy as its CEO and Noi became the deputy general director.

Noi has been appointed VinE-com CEO because Thu Thuy resigned from her CEO post and all other positions that she held in the group on May 23.

Vingroup established VinE-com in February 2014 to create a reliable, professional and comprehensive e-commerce channel for all products and services provided not only by Vingroup, but also by its partners, including tenants in shopping malls, mega malls and other retailers.

The group has a 70 per cent stake in the VND1.05 trillion (US$50 billion) VinE-com, which is located at No 7, Bang Lang Street in the Vinhomes Riverside Urban Complex in Long Bien District, Ha Noi. — VNS
