Vinamilk has taken the top spot for the third consecutive year in the Viet Nam 100 Best Places to Work.

Following Vinamilk in the top 10 are Vietcombank, Nestle, Viettel Group, Abbot, TH Group, Suntory PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and Samsung.

The list of 100 Best Places to Work in Viet Nam was announced at a ceremony held last week in HCM City.

The results are based on the annual Viet Nam Best Places to Work Survey conducted by Anphabe that owns, the career network for management-level professionals, in collaboration with the market research firm Intage Vietnam.

The online survey polled nearly 72,000 experienced professionals from 559 businesses in 20 industries across the country.

The survey measures employer brand attractiveness and happiness of the workforce.

Forty per cent of businesses said that labour costs were the greatest cost pressure during the COVID-19 crisis.

The survey revealed that 51 per cent of employees were affected by severe business cost reductions, with 32 per cent of employees laid off and 11 per cent of employees moving to part-time from full-time jobs six months after the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Reduction in labour costs are expected to be implemented to minimise business costs in the second half of this year.

The survey pointed out six trends that have developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, including working from home, digital transformation, online training, internal job transition, restructuring of business, and shifts to new markets.

As of August, 30 per cent of businesses had maintained remote and flexible work options for their employees after social distancing measures were lifted. —VNS
