Viettel Post, a member of Viettel Group, has signed an agreement with authorities of Pingxiang City, China to establish a representative office and building at the China - ASEAN agricultural product trading centre.

The company also signed an agreement with Nanning City to development a logistics and China- Việt Nam cross-border trade centre.

Viettel Post is the first Vietnamese enterprise to strengthening logistics connections and developing cross-border logistics between the two countries.

Under the agreements, the two sides would cooperate to effectively exploit multimodal transport converting between Yên Viên - Đồng Đăng - Bằng Tường - Nam Ninh road and railway. They will also learn and exchange designs and technologies to jointly promote the plan to deploy smart border gates.

These are Viettel Post's efforts to deploy logistics infrastructure planning strategies including parks, logistics centres, bonded warehouses and inland container depot to connect raw material, agricultural and seafood areas with traffic connection points of rail, sea, airports and border gates to reduce time and cost of goods circulation.

This could help improve the competitiveness of Vietnamese goods, and enhance Việt Nam's logistics position in connecting countries in the ASEAN region and China as well as contributing to solving congestion and damaged goods at border gates. — VNS
