Viettel Group has waived charges for data since May 25 in Bac Giang Province and parts of Bac Ninh, two hotspots in the latest COVID-19 outbreak.
It will cost the military telecom giant VND40 billion (US$1.73 million).
Charges are fully waived in Bac Giang and in COVID-hit areas in Bac Ninh.
It also offers free telecom services to frontline workers in quarantine areas there. — VNS
