VietStar Training & Consulting JSC, a leading training and consulting organisation, and Singapore Management University have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a partnership for providing training in corporate management and digital transformation.

The agreement was signed in Singapore last week in the presence of visiting President Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

They agreed to focus on improving the capabilities of Vietnamese managers, share best practices in corporate governance and digital transformation, and promote co-operation between the two countries by organising the Vietnam-Singapore Board Forum.

Pham Thi Thu Hang, CEO of Vietstar, said, “We sign this MOU with the desire of enhancing management capabilities of Vietnamese managers and leaders in the international arena and building a bridge for corporate leaders in the two countries to share management experience, which is the cornerstone of maintaining growth, creating value and further strengthening the good relationship between the two countries.”

Under the MOU, the partners will launch corporate governance and digital transformation executive programmes for energy industry leaders this year.

They will collaborate to organise the Vietnam - Singapore Board Forum.

SMU’s provost, Professor Timothy Clark, said: “SMU is pleased to partner VIETSTAR in building holistic and multi-disciplinary programmes for senior executives and leaders in Viet Nam.

“We are confident that programme participants will appreciate the distinctive benefits in SMU’s practice-driven approach to teaching, industry linkages and facilitation of networking opportunities.” — VNS
