Vietjet welcomed its 200 millionth passenger, marking a significant milestone in its journey of bringing Việt Nam to the world and the world to beautiful Việt Nam during the Việt Nam-India Business Forum in New Delhi on Wednesday.

The 200 millionth passenger of Vietjet was an Indian businessman, Sandeep Mehta, who received a gift of one year of free international flights operated by Vietjet.

The airline also announced a new route connecting Ahmedabad and Đà Nẵng in the presence of the leaders and businesses of the two countries. The new route is expected to start operating from October 2024.

To mark this, Vietjet is offering a week-long promotion from August 2-8, with two million tickets priced as low as zero đồng on all domestic and international routes.

The discounted tickets (excluding taxes and fees) will be available on the website www.vietjetair.com and the Vietjet Air mobile app, for the travel period from September 4, 2024-May 22, 2025 (with the exception of national holidays).

Vietjet has been a pioneer in direct flight routes connecting Việt Nam and India since 2019, bringing convenient and affordable travel options to people and travellers.

Vietjet now operates seven routes with 56 weekly flights, connecting Hà Nội and HCM City with major cities of New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kochi as well as popular destinations like Bodh Gaya and Varanasi in India - the country of 1.4 billion people.

The total number of passengers Vietjet transported between the two nations has reached nearly 1.3 million. — VNS
