Budget carrier Vietjet plans to operate new routes connecting Seoul and Da Lat, Can Tho, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc in a move to connect some Vietnamese cultural, tourism, economic centres with the South Korea's capital city.

The plan was announced at the Viet Nam – South Korea Business Forum held in South Korea on Wednesday, under the witnesses of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Hong Nam-Ki and the senior delegation of Vietnamese and Korean governments.

Vietjet vice chairman Nguyen Thanh Hung said his airline pledged to keep carrying out the mission of offering flying opportunities to passengers by opening more new routes with modern fleet, high safety, technical reliability, dedicated and friendly cabin crews.

Hung also expressed his expectation that the good relations between Viet Nam and South Korea, ASEAN and South Korea would contribute to expanding the sky regionally and globally.

Vietjet is pioneering in South Korea with 11 routes, 480 flights per month, operating the most flights connecting Viet Nam and South Korea. — VNS
