TAIPEI (Biz Hub) — Viet Nam's fastest growing airline, VietJet, on November 5 announced the opening of a new international route connecting Taipei in Taiwan and HCM City.
The flights on this new route will commence operations on December 12.
During an event in Taipei, VietJet representatives also revealed that the airlines will add routes linking other destinations in Taiwan, such as Kaoshiung and Taichung, with HCM City and Ha Noi in the near future.
The new route between Taipei and HCM City will initially operate five round trips with a total of 1,800 seats per week, from Monday to Sunday (excluding Thursdays and Saturdays). The flight duration per section is three hours and 25 minutes. The flight will depart from HCM City at 2.30pm (local time) and arrive in Taipei at 6.55pm (local time). The return flight will depart from Taipei at 8pm and land in HCM City at 10.25pm.
On this occasion, VietJet will offer thousands of free air tickets from November 11 to 13 via its website www.vietjetair.com. The promotion, which applies to travel from December 12, 2014 to March 27, 2015, is available via online channels only.
