HCM City (Biz Hub) — VietJet will give away thousands of free and discounted plane tickets at this year's HCM City International Tourism Expo (ITE).

The expo, to be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in the city's District 7 from September 11 to 13, will gather more than 200 international tourism agencies from nearly 20 countries in and near the Mekong River Delta.

With this promotion, to be offered at the company booth from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on every day of the expo, VietJet aims to steal the limelight with tickets that are either free or discounted at VND99,000 (US$ 4.65) and VND199,000 ($9.35) each.

The promotion applies to all of VietJet's routes. The airline currently maintains a network of 27 domestic and international connections. Travel period for the promotion is from October 1 to December 31, 2014, excluding holidays.

Customers who purchase VietJet tickets at the expo also qualify for a 10 per cent discount on their next VietJet ticket purchase.

With this year's key theme of "Five Countries, One Destination," the HCM City ITE 2014 expo aims to develop ties and boost collaboration between travel agencies in such countries as Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam.

Admission is free. ITE visitors will be able to learn more about tourist business opportunities in all of these countries while shopping around for great travel deals and tourism products.— VNS
