HA NOI (Biz Hub) – Vietjet on May 12 launched three new routes from Hai Phong to Phu Quoc, Da Lat and Buon Me Thuot in celebration of the opening of Cat Bi International Airport's new terminal.
The ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
On the occasion, Vietjet presented 200 health insurance cards to the poor in Hai Phong City.
The Hai Phong–Phu Quoc route, which is in operation from today onwards, and the route connecting Hải Phong and Buon Me Thuot, starting from June 2, will both provide four round-trip flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Three round-trip flights per week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) will be available on the Hai Phong–Da Lat route from May 20.
Vietjet is now the biggest carrier to the port city of Hai Phong, with some 30 flights per day, accounting for 70 per cent of the total capacity of Cat Bi International Airport.
The airline said it would increase flight frequency for these routes in the coming period to satisfy the travel demand of tourists, businessmen and individuals in various localities. — VNS
