HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — VietJet today announces its support for passengers as the Ministry of Transport's new circular took effect on Monday.
Under the new circular, airlines will be following new opening and closing times at check-in counters throughout Viet Nam. The boarding time of all flights departing from Vietnamese airports has also been adjusted.
The circular (36/2014/TT-BGTVT) requires check-in counters to open two hours before the departure of domestic flights and three hours before that of international flights.
Check-in counters will now close 40 minutes before the departure of domestic flights instead of the previous 30 minutes and 50 minutes before that of international flights instead of the previous 45 minutes. Boarding gates will now close 15 minutes before departure.
To make the adjustments easier for customers, VietJet will be assisting passengers still checking in after the new cut-off time from December 1 to December 31.
Beginning January 1, 2015, all of VietJet's check-in counters will close 40 minutes before the departure of domestic flights and 50 minutes before the departure of international flights, as stated in the circular. — VNS
