HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Jetstar Pacific will receive a loan, worth US$117 million, from Vietinbank to buy 10 Airbus 320ceo aircraft, under a first-ever co-operation programme inked by the two sides.

Vietinbank's financial assistance will help Jetstar Pacific upgrade its fleet in a move to improve services and expand its domestic and international networks.

These aircraft will be delivered next year, Le Hong Ha, general director of Jetstar Pacific said, adding that the budget carrier plans to increase its fleet to 30 Airbus A320 by 2020.

Jetstar Pacific is Viet Nam's first low-cost airline. It has already opened 33 domestic and international routes, providing 4,000 flights per week. — VNS
