Vietnam Beverage Company Ltd (VietBev) collaborated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Ngai provinces to donate Tet gifts to disadvantaged students and teachers in 15 schools in the central region from January 25 to 27.

The donation aims to bring a happy Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday to disadvantaged students and teachers to have a good and safe school year.

The Tet gift set includes learning tools, raincoats, hand sanitiser, face masks and Tet gift baskets (provided by the companion MM Mega Market Vietnam).

The programme has been carried out with the support and contribution of VietBev, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, C-Asean and Sirivadhanabhakdi Foundation.

“We are very moved to be here before the Lunar New Year of the Tiger to present Tet gifts to students and teachers at the schools that were hit hard by natural disasters over the past years. We hope that such learning tools will create more favourable and safer conditions for the students,” said Nguyen Hai Son, representative of VietBev.

“As a member of Thailand’s TCC Group with long-term investment in Viet Nam, we always affirm our sustainable development target and contribution to the community."

In 2021, Vietnam Beverage Company Limited also donated over VND1.5 billion through the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front to repair damaged schools and buy new school equipment for schools in Quang Ngai, Quang Binh and Ha Tinh provinces.

In June 2021, in response to the appeal of the Vietnamese Government, TCC Group - the parent group of ThaiBev and VietBev, in coordination with the Sirivadhanabhakdi Foundation, contributed US$1 million (approximately VND23 billion) to the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund to help Viet Nam fight the COVID-19 pandemic. — VNS
