Fourteen out of 48 awards at the Dot Property Southeast Asia Awards 2020 event held simultaneously in HCM City and Bangkok were given to companies based in Viet Nam, the highest total of any country.

The awards honoured leading developers, property projects, and real estate agencies from around the region.

The coveted People’s Choice Award for Project of the Year 2020 went to Sun World Ba Na Hills by Sun Group.

Among this year’s winners in the developer categories were the Cat Tuong Group, Hung Thinh Land, Sun Group, and Capital House (all from Viet Nam), KSK Land (Malaysia) and Paramount Land (Indonesia). The Vietnamese firms won awards for Breakthrough Developer, Best Residential Developer, Best Leisure Developer, and Best Sustainable Developer, respectively.

In the residential, mixed-use, hospitality and commercial project categories, Cat Tuong Western Pearl of Cat Tuong Group won Best Landed Development, Pearl Hoi An of Tri Viet Hoi An won Best Beachfront Luxury Hotel & Resort, and Wyndham Lynn Times Thanh Thuy of Onsen Fuji won Best Tourism and Resort Development.

In the project design category, Matrix One of the MIKGroup from Viet Nam won Best Luxury Condo Architecture Design.

The awards also celebrated real estate agencies, property consultancies, property management companies, contractors and technology.

DKRA Vietnam and Dat Xanh Mien Bac were winners of the awards for Southeast Asia's Best Real Estate Agencies, and DKRA Vietnam for Southeast Asia's Best Property Consultancy Firms.

With travel restrictions preventing everyone from being in a single location, winners from across the region were honored at the Dot Property Southeast Asia Awards 2020 Winners’ Dinner in HCM City and the Dot Property Southeast Asia Awards 2020 Charity Gala in Bangkok on December 17.

The event in HCM City also included a talk show on “Innovation in the Real Estate Industry 2020”.

Adam Sutcliffe, Dot Property Director for Events and International Markets, said: “We want to congratulate all of this year’s winners for their hard work during what has been an extraordinarily challenging year. Their innovative spirit and ability to overcome adversity was an inspiration for us to carry on and find a way to host the Dot Property Southeast Asia Awards 2020, despite the fact we couldn’t all be together in one place.” — VNS
