NGHE AN (Biz Hub) — The Viet Nam Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) inaugurated its new garment factory, worth nearly VND127 billion (US$5.7 million), in the central province of Nghe An late last week.
Spanning in 32,000sq.m, the Vinatex Hoang Mai factory will produce 11 million tonnes of products in its first phrase – mainly producing exports bound for Japan – and provide about 900 local jobs.
Vinatex said it expected export turnover to grow by 10 per cent this year to $2.6 billion.
To meet this target, the group will focus on supporting its subsidiaries in trade promotion to enlarge export markets, the group's general director Le Tien Truong said.
