Three Big C companies among top 1,000 taxpayers

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Three companies under the Big C supermarket chain were named among Viet Nam's 1,000 top corporate taxpayers this year.

Big C Thang Long Supermarket Co., Ltd, Big C An Lac Supermarket Co. Ltd, and Big C Dong Nai Co. Ltd ranked 173rd, 188th and 405th respectively among the country's top taxpayers.

As for the retail sector alone, the respective rankings of the three companies were second, third and sixth.

The list, named the Top 1,000 Enterprises of Tax Contribution 2014 (V1000), was released by the Viet Nam Report Joint Stock Company in coordination with Viet Nam Tax Magazine and online newspaper Vietnamnet.

The ranking honours companies that pay a large amount of tax to the State budget and comply fully with tax regulations.

Big C operates 30 supermarkets in Viet Nam now. — VNS
