Indochina Kajima Development Limited on Thursday officially started the construction of Wink Hotel Hai Phong Centre in the northern city of Hai Phong.
Situated in a prime location in Hai Phong’s central business district along Dien Bien Phu Street, Wink Hotel Hai Phong Centre will appeal to young-at-heart business and leisure travelers. It has excellent access to local government offices, Cat Bi International Airport, Dinh Vu Port, surrounding economic zones as well as Hai Phong’s retail and entertainment attractions.
The project comprises 203 Wink hotel rooms and 77 Wink suites within a stunningly designed 22-story tower of approximately 16,000sq.m.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Peter Ryder, Chairman of Wink Hotels ad CEO of Indochina Capital, said: “When building the brand strategy for Wink hotels, we had the ambition to create a brand reflecting the spirit of Viet Nam and create a revolution in the hospitality industry. We focus on the new generation of business trips or remote working, young tech-savvy travelers, and aspirational tourists who want to have fun and enjoy the local cuisine as well as various local cultural activities.”
Keisuke Koshijima, Representative Director and Executive Vice President of Kajima Corporation, said: “Hai Phong has many favourable conditions for tourism development. It has one of the few localities across the country where all five types of transportation, sea, river, road, railway and air routes efficiently converge. However, the city still lacks high-class accommodation facilities to meet the higher expectations of business travelers and tourists. When completed, Wink Hotel Hai Phong Centre will contribute to elevating the quality of hospitality and tourism in the city.”
With its long-term vision and unwavering commitment to investing in Viet Nam’s hospitality market, Indochina Kajima has announced a pipeline of 20 hotels to open within the next five to seven years.
