Thai conglomerate SCG has donated VND1 billion (US$43,800) to the Study Encouragement Association of Ba Ria Vung Tau Province to support local students with good ethics and outstanding academic records.

Dhep Vongvanich, its Viet Nam executive country director, said at the signing ceremony: “Human development is at the core of SCG’s corporate social responsibility programmes. We believe that education has the power to create a better future as it builds on human quality.

“Thus, besides SCG Sharing the Dream scholarship, this is another project to support Vietnamese children in education.”
