Cooking oil producer Tuong An Vegetable Oil Joint-Stock Co (TAC) will increase production yield for the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday by 12-15 per cent compared to the previous Tet to meet increasing demand.
For the holiday, the company is focusing on premium cooking oil products, one of many products that Vietnamese give as presents during the most important festival of the year when gifts are exchanged with relatives and friends.
A company representative told Bizhub.vn that demand for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) often doubled at Lunar New Year, and that presents were an important factor that stimulate the market.
“Consumers are ready to pay for high-end products at Lunar New Year, so TAC will focus on this segment,” he said.
TAC has completed its preparations for the holiday and will offer products in the market very early to meet demand.
TA, which is one of the biggest cooking oil producers in Viet Nam, has a 43-year history. Over the years, the company has conducted research to develop new products to meet increasing demand.
Last year, revenues and tax were VND4.4 trillion and VND136 billion, respectively.
The company is a subsidiary of KIDO Group, the giant Vietnamese food producer. — VNS
