Swiss-Belhotel International plans to expand its portfolio in Viet Nam with a series of new hotels, resorts and residences across the country.

The Hong Kong hospitality company, which recently celebrated its 32nd anniversary, has 145 hotels and resorts either operating or in the pipeline in 22 countries on four continents, including three in Viet Nam.

Swiss-Belresort Tuyen Lam is an upscale retreat in the Central Highlands, not far from Da Lat.

Swiss-Belhotel Suites & Residences Ha Long Bay is scheduled open before the end of this year overlooking the spectacular UNESCO world heritage site.

In 2022 Swiss-Belresort Bai Dai Phu Quoc will open its doors on the pristine coast of Phu Quoc Island.

The company targets launching at least 10 hotels and resorts in the next three to four years. The destinations under consideration include key cities like Ha Noi, HCM City, Hai Phong, and Da Nang, beachfront locations like Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon and Van Phong, and cultural sites such as Sapa and Hoi An.

Edward Faull, Swiss-Belhotel International's executive director and vice president operations & development, Viet Nam, said: “Vietnam is one of the worlds most dynamic tourism destinations. The countrys beautiful natural scenery and captivating culture, combined with a thriving economy, modernising infrastructure and progressive government policies, are driving a rapid increase in domestic and international visitor numbers.”

Vietnams tourism industry is growing with international arrivals tripling in the last decade to reach 15.5 million last year. — VNS
