The Sun Group inaugurated Southeast Asia’s most modern theme park, Typhoon Water Park, in Ha Long City, located in the Northern province of Quang Ninh, on April 29.

Covering an area of 20 hectares, Typhoon Water Park’s design is inspired by famous water park models in the world, such as Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach in the United States and Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates.

The park includes a system of 12 unique water games and caters to three groups: Families, children and thrill seekers.

The highlight of the park are its adventurous games, for example, jumping from a height of 20 metres, swinging 360 degrees on the “Tropical storm” game and riding a dragon to conquer the sea. After overcoming these thrilling challenges, brave warriors can relax and float on the gentle river surrounding the park.

All games facilities in the park have been imported from Europe and tested according to Germany’s Technischer Überwachungsverein (TÜV) standards.

Visitors can also enjoy the park’s natural surroundings housing artificial mountain ranges and thousands of trees, besides the restaurants serving a variety of delicacies such as grilled seafood, pizza, fast food and beverages at Long’s Pool Bar.

Typhoon Water Park is the second park in Việt Nam to be managed by the world’s leading entertainment park operator Pargues Reunidos, following Drangon Park. Besides this, the operator also manages 61 parks in 14 countries in Europe, America, the Middle East and Asia.

Together with the cable car system — mentioned in the Guinness records as the world's largest-longest — and the Sun Wheel in the Sun World Ha Long Entertainment Complex, Typhoon Water Park is expected to become an ideal destination for visitors to Ha Long City.

In addition to these, this world-class entertainment complex would be a modern tourism product, creating a breakthrough for the city’s tourism sector. — VNS
