The US coffee chain, Starbucks Vietnam, has recently announced that it will expand to two more provinces and cities this year after seven years of operating in the country.
Speaking with Viet Nam News, Patricia Marques, general manager of Starbucks Vietnam, said the two stores in Nha Trang will open in the beginning of the second quarter. The names of the second province and city where the stores will be opened were not disclosed.
It opens another store in Ecopark in Ha Noi on Thursday, lifting total stores nationwide to 63.
In celebration of the anniversary, Starbucks Vietnam has introduced a range of exclusive new designs celebrating Viet Nam culture, including the Viet Nam coffee filter, the Vietnam Been There collection mug and the Vietnam Starbucks card. The Viet Nam collection has been offered to customers at all stores along with new limited-time offerings from the winter season since early this month.
“February marks seven years in Viet Nam for Starbucks. It has been a great journey for us with many achievements through the years. Starting from our first store in HCM City, we now have expanded to three other cities and will continue to grow in more areas," said Marques.
"From the first collection to feature Viet Nam’s icons, we have now many more collections in our retail shops and features in other cities like Ha Noi, Hai Phong and Da Nang. In 2015, for the first time ever, we offered Viet Nam Da Lat coffee in Starbucks stores around the world. And now, in 2020, we are introducing the Viet Nam Phin in all of our stores in Viet Nam. And for the collector of the Starbucks Card, we have a market exclusive for Việt Nam, the Starbucks card. We will not stop our innovations which aim to bring better experience to our customers.”
Continuing its global commitment to eliminate single-use plastic straws across all stores by the end of 2020, Starbucks Vietnam announced that it will gradually remove single-use plastic straws across Viet Nam and begin providing paper straws to customers from this month.
The new paper straws are made from responsibly-sourced paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. VNS
