Starbucks Vietnam built three water supply facilities in 2021-22 under its Project 24 to provide rural communities and schools access to clean drinking water.

They are operated by non-profit organisation Planet Water Foundation.

Patricia Marques, general manager of Starbucks Vietnam, said: “Despite long delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are very happy that all three were completed in 2021-2022.

“Two are in the north in Hoa Binh and Phu Tho provinces, and the third was installed in Lam Dong Province from where Starbucks sources high-quality arabica coffee beans.”

The company recently announced a programme to encourage customers to undertake green activities like offering discounts of VND10,000 to those who bring their personal cups to reduce plastic waste and VND1,000 if they bring their own bag.

In another development, the company has recently launched new beverages for summer and a collection called “Colour Block Party.” — VNS
