US coffee chain Starbucks said it has opened 77 stores in Viet Nam so far.
It opened nine last year despite the challenges posed by COVID-19 and six soon after the restrictions were eased, it said.
E-commerce platforms like Shopee and Lazada, its own app and delivery services like Grab and ShopeeFood helped it maintain market share, it said.
The delivery business would be further developed this year and smaller shops opened to provide takeout services, it added.
In another development, Starbucks Vietnam launched new beverages including poached pear Oolong tea and holiday reminiscence with Confetti Cookie Latte.
The company also introduced new merchandise collection featuring the cute little tiger.
The collection is available at Starbucks store and on the online Starbucks Flagship store at LazMall & Shopee.
“The last days of the year always bring so many emotions, we would like to be a part of this meaningful moment and spend a warm time with our customers. Wish you all good things, succeed and happiness in Year of the Tiger,” said Patricia Marques, General Manager of Starbucks Vietnam.
Starbucks first came to Viet Nam in 2013 with a store in HCM city.
It has since expanded to Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Da Nang and Nha Trang. — VNS
