Shinhan Life Vietnam has cooperated with BNJ Vietnam Co., Ltd to implement an education programme for teenagers at SOS Vietnam Children's Villages in Go Vap District, HCM City.
The programme is part of the “iLead Leadership Values’ programme” on leadership values designed by Dr. John C. Maxwell for SOS Children Village youth ages between 15 and 25 years old. This is also an activity under the framework of the YouthCan! Programme Initiative by SOS Children’s Villages International – Partnership for youth employability.
The iLead programme provides students with a forum to acquire leadership knowledge, skills and values that enable them to practice leadership skills while encouraging connection and harmony in the peer group, thereby developing better relationships with peers, finding their voice and taking action to align themselves with good values.
Participating in the programme, teenagers have a chance to learn and discover values and qualities from the iLead programme, choose personal values applied to their self-development, approach the leadership development journey from self-leadership, and increase their ability to integrate smoothly into life and the labor market. In addition, Shinhan Life Vietnam also creates opportunities for skills training, internship opportunities and job opportunities in the future for students with suitable aspirations and abilities.
“With the slogan “Bring Wonders to Life”, corporate social responsibility enhancement activities are always one of Shinhan Life's priorities when operating in Viet Nam. We wish to contribute to the sustainable development of future generations, not only by providing basic necessities but also by creating conditions for them to develop comprehensively, master their own lives, to become a useful citizen for society,” said Bae Seung Jun, Deputy General Director of Shinhan Life Vietnam.
As a long-term community project from 2023 - 2025, the iLead programme will be held at SOS Children's Villages Vietnam in Ha Noi, Da Nang and HCM City in 2023. — VNS
