Shinhan Life Vietnam, in collaboration with career education company SIF Career, launched the S-Career, a career education programme for high school students on March 1.

The programme aims to assist students in choosing a profession that aligns with their abilities, family conditions and socio-economic circumstances.

In the first year, it will be implemented in high schools across the Mekong Delta.

It specifically focuses on direct engagement with students, providing support and information to help them make informed career decisions. It will also equip teachers with effective tools and methods to aid students in career planning.

The programme framework includes theoretical overviews, practical applications and Q&A sessions to provide comprehensive information to facilitate students in making the right career decisions - "Pick the right industry - Do the right job."

Bae Seung Jun, the general director of Shinhan Life Vietnam, said: "As a life insurance company, we are committed to providing long-term financial solutions, protecting the future of our Vietnamese customers.

“Beyond that, we are particularly interested in community activities that contribute to the development and education of children - the country's future generation. The S-Career programme is expected to help students choose careers that suit them, optimising future work efficiency and contributing to overall labour productivity and sustainable societal development."

Community activities and corporate social responsibility are one of Shinhan Life Vietnam’s top priorities in Việt Nam.

In addition to regular activities such as funding hospital treatment for children with cancer and offering gifts and sponsoring free meals for patients and their families, the company also focuses on investing in education programmes.

This aims to provide opportunities and access to knowledge for children and teenagers, promoting sustainable development.

In its first year of implementation in 2024 the S-Career programme will be held in high schools across the delta.

In the following years, with a long-term commitment to the Vietnamese market, Shinhan Life plans to expand its scale and scope to other regions across the country. — VNS
