South Korean-owned Shinhan Bank Vietnam Ltd. has opened a new branch in Can Tho.
It is located at Vincom Xuan Khanh in Ninh Kieu District.
A spokesperson said the bank is “proud” to be one of the first foreign banks to be present in the Cửu Long (Mekong) Delta city, a place with great potential for socio-economic development.
It aims to bring financial solutions to individual and corporate customers not only in the city but also in surrounding areas and help them improve their competitiveness, he said.
To mark the opening it awarded scholarships worth VND60 million (US$2,600) to 60 underprivileged students in the city through the National Fund for Vietnamese Children.
