Savimex Corporation has opened its first MOHO Furniture showroom, and said it seeks to provide Vietnamese customers with eco-friendly furniture of international standards at reasonable prices.

The showroom at 162 HT17, Hiep Thanh Ward in HCM City’s District 12 is displaying its first few collections.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lim Hong Jin, Savimex’s general director, said the company has 35 years of experience in producing and exporting furniture to markets such as the US, Europe, Japan, and South Korea.

“Based on this experience and manufacturing capability, we want to bring international standard wooden furniture products closer to Vietnamese people. That’s why we opened MOHO Furniture.”

Jung Dong Hee, MOHO’s retail manager, said MOHO is an acronym for ‘Modern Life & Home.’

“MOHO has three main differentiation points from other Vietnamese furniture brands: eco-friendly, customer-oriented and reasonable prices.”

He said the brand only uses materials that have environment-friendly certification such as FSC, and its products are compliant with the US’s CARB-P2 that ensures the air customers breathe is healthy and free from carcinogens that can harm them.

“Eco-friendly and healthy material maybe not that popular value [yet] in Viet Nam, but I’m sure Vietnamese customers will care about this kind of eco-friendly value soon.”

Savimex has two factories equipped with modern equipment and technology.

The company plans to open more MOHO showrooms across the country next year, including in Ha Noi and Da Nang. — VNS
